Still need to blog about a 1984 trip to the Soviet Himalaya & Georgia (drove thru Chechnya, but no resonance then) sponsored by Soviet Sports committee. and a Nordic ski traverse of the Haute route from Saas Fee/Zermatt to Chamonix in 1980 & the treks i led to Nepal in the 80s, if i can ever get the journals digitized
